Our Founder

Scott A. Harrison, MBA is founder and president of The Harrison Group, LLC. He has 20 years experience in Human Resources, 15 years specializing in performance system design. He received his Masters of Business Administration at University of Southern Maine and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources/Labor Relations and Operations Management from University of Maryland, College Park. He is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and Certified Performance Compensation Administrator (PCA). Mr. Harrison has taught at University of Southern Maine, Center for Continuing Education and has been an invited speaker at various local, regional and national groups on the topic of variable pay. He trained for six years under internationally recognized incentive pay expert and author, Dr. William B. Abernathy and published in the area of goal setting with goal setting theory pioneer, Dr. Edwin A. Locke. He has published in the area of human resource planning and lean enterprise with organizational consultant and author, Dr. Raphael L. Vitalo. He is past Chair of the HR Committee and member of the Board of Directors for the Cumberland County YMCA, Portland, Maine. Mr. Harrison is the creator of: FairSharingSM: Enterprise-Wide Performance System; High Performance CEO: Planning, Coaching & Evaluation System; and CIGAR (Creative Idea Generation, Action and Results) Performance Opportunity Sessions.

Mr. Harrison resides in Yarmouth, Maine USA with his wife and business partner, Lisa Joaquin and their 5 children. His extensive experience in the area of performance system design combined with parenthood converged to inspire Scary-Hairy MyL'Stones performance learning systems for kids.
