ur dad came up with this really cool idea that makes goal setting and learning kind of fun - at least we think so! It's called Scary-Hairy MyL'Stones. A very strange name. He wrote a children's book about it! Scary-Hairy stands for that scary, hairy, knot in your stomach feeling you get when faced with new or challenging situations. You want to be better at this, better at that, try something new but something deep down inside keeps you from taking the first step. It's the butterflies and they can start fluttering at any time and any place - at home, in the classroom, on the field, etc. They're uncontrollable and uncomfortable and can keep you from trying new things, taking risks, learning, growing, and meeting your full potential. MyL'Stones (My 'Learning' Stones) are used to break down your scary-hairy goals into smaller, simpler, more manageable steps. They enable you to channel those butterfly feelings into positive energy and goal success, one stone at a time.
The Learning Kit is really fun and includes wood, paint, clay and more for building your own goal tracking system, plus goal cards, achievement journal and guide to getting started. The Goal Buster is also fun. It comes with 7 handmade clay MyL'Stones and paints to make it your own. Both Learning Kit and Goal Buster come with a pot of MyL'Stones magic glitter which if sprinkled on every MyL'Stone gives you the courage to get started and stick-to-it-iveness to complete the really tough goals!
We've used the system to tackle several tough goals ranging from helping out around the house to improving our reading, writing and math to getting better at basketball, soccer and our musical instruments to even getting comfortable taking the kindergarten bus all by ourselves, right Sophia? The Pocket MyL'Stone is the coolest product of all - it was Sophia's idea. It's a good luck MyL'Stone (a real stone!) that you carry around (in your pocket, on your backpack, etc.) as a constant reminder of current goals and successes!
As our dad puts it... no goal is too scary for Scary-Hairy MyL'Stones. We think you'll really like it and hope you'll keep us updated on all your scary-hairy goal successes here!
